Bremont Altitude MB Meteor Stealth Grey
Originally designed to withstand the rigors of ejection seat testing, Bremont's rugged pilot's watch is crafted in matte titanium and features a gray meteorite dial.
Under CEO Davide Cerrato, Bremont has undergone a dramatic transformation, and many feared its rugged tool watches would become unrecognizable. However, earlier this year, fans were delighted to discover the new Altitude MB Meteor, an ultra-tough pilot's watch based on its predecessor, the MB1. Part of the refreshed Altitude collection, the Altitude MB Meteor features the original Trip-Tick case of its predecessor and is specifically designed to withstand the extremes of the Martin-Baker ejection seat program. In addition to the black and silver dials, the latest monochrome addition, the Altitude MB Meteor Stealth Grey, pays homage to the collection's name, featuring a gray meteorite-textured dial matched to a stealthy matte gray titanium case.

Founded in 2007 by brothers Nick and Giles English, Bremont specializes in aviation- and military-inspired watches with a distinctly British aesthetic. Among Bremont's many partners is Martin-Baker, a British engineering company responsible for 75% of the world's aircraft ejection seat technology. True to their brand motto, "Beyond Endurance Tests," the British brothers developed a pilot's watch capable of withstanding the extreme forces of the Martin-Baker ejection seat program: the MB1. The watch's name derives from the Gloster Meteor, Britain's first jet fighter, the aircraft used by Martin-Baker for its first live-fire ejection test in 1946.
The MB1, featuring a three-section Trip-Tick case, underwent the same rigorous testing for quality and functionality as an ejection seat. The MB1 passed the tests with flying colors and is now available exclusively to members of the Ejection Tie Club, a group dedicated to pilots who have successfully ejected from disabled aircraft. Subsequent civilian models, the MBII and MBII II, featured dual crowns, a Trip-Tick case, a Roto-Click bezel, and a seconds hand with a striped ring-shaped counterweight inspired by the ejection seat handle.
The new Altitude MB Meteor Stealth Grey watch features a 42mm Grade 2 titanium case measuring 12.23mm thick and featuring a textured, ultra-matte, light-absorbing finish reminiscent of a stealth aircraft. The Trip-Tick case is lightweight and robust, and water-resistant to 100 meters. The signature knurling on the black PVD-coated central barrel complements the knurling on the two oversized crowns on the right side of the case. The upper crown is used to set the time, while the lower crown activates the concave, bidirectional 60-minute Roto-Click bezel, which produces a pleasant clicking sound. The flat top of the bezel supports a box-shaped sapphire crystal.
The gray dial features an embossed meteorite pattern, created by scanning a meteorite and stamping it onto a brass plate. The applied hour markers and propeller-shaped hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility. The yellow central seconds hand is accented by a black and yellow circular counterweight, and the inverted red triangle in the center, like the danger sign found on all ejection seats, pays homage to the original MB1 watch and its military aircraft.
This watch is powered by the Bremont BB14-AH automatic movement, based on the La Joux-Perret G100 caliber, with a 68-hour power reserve. A soft iron ring and rubber base provide effective shock and magnetic protection. The caseback reveals a bronze oscillating weight adorned with Geneva waves.
